Woman, children escape de@th after vehicle rams into house in Jigawa
A woman and her children narrowly escaped de*th in Jigawa after four houses were set ablaze when a vehicle lost control, veering off the road and crashing into a residential home, resulting in extensive damage.
The incident instilled fear among residents living nearby following the terrifying accident that took place on Sunday.

A source reported that the vehicle collided with the residential building, causing the wall to collapse and driving directly into the living room where the woman and her children were sleeping.
DSP Shi’isu Adam, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Jigawa State Command, confirmed that the incident took place early Sunday morning.
Fortunately, he reported that a woman and her children narrowly escaped harm, although four houses were completely destroyed in the fire.
The PPRO explained that the event occurred around 12:30 AM on Elpies Street in the Mobile Quarters of Dutse. Authorities received information indicating that two individuals, Muhammad Galadima, 32, and Abdullahi Abubakar Sadiq, 41, both residing at the same location, were suspected of being intoxicated while recklessly driving a Toyota Corolla with the registration number NSR 120 BC.
This reckless driving led to the vehicle and the house being engulfed in flames, which subsequently spread to three neighboring homes, all of which were also reduced to ashes.
Fortunately, no lives were lost thanks to the swift actions of the police and firefighters.
Upon receiving the report, a team of officers quickly arrived at the scene, and the fire was brought under control through the combined efforts of firefighters and residents. Preliminary investigations indicated that Muhammad Galadima, the vehicle’s owner, intentionally gave the keys to Abdullahi Abubakar Sadiq, who confessed to not knowing how to drive.
The PPRO announced that both suspects and the vehicle involved have been detained for a thorough investigation. He assured the public that once the investigation is complete, all individuals implicated will face prosecution.
