Nigerian artist Wizkid has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the first African musician to exceed 8 billion streams on Spotify.
This impressive total encompasses both his solo tracks and collaborations.
His smash hit with Canadian icon Drake, titled ‘One Dance,’ stands out as his most popular song on the platform, boasting over 2 billion streams. Notably, ‘One Dance’ also holds the Guinness World Record for being the first single to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.
Wizkid’s deluxe edition of his fourth studio album, ‘Made In Lagos,’ is his most streamed album, nearing the 1 billion mark.
In comparison, Burna Boy has amassed 7.2 billion streams on Spotify, positioning him as the second most streamed African artist on the platform. Additionally, he holds the title of the most followed Afrobeats artist on Spotify.
