Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Ayra Starr have been recognized as two of the leading artists in the world for 2024, according to Chart Data.
On New Year’s Eve, the music analytics platform unveiled its rankings, placing Wizkid at 11th and Ayra Starr at 18th.
Additionally, South African artist Tyla secured the 12th position on the list.
The top 10 features South Korean sensation Jimin, alongside American icons Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé, and rapper Kendrick Lamar.
British pop stars Charli XCX, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and Nicki Minaj round out the top 10.
In another notable mention, Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy have been highlighted in Active Wurld’s “Top 20 Music Global Icons Shaping The Future,” with Davido at number 3, while Wizkid and Burna Boy follow closely at 6th and 8th, respectively.
