Without singing, I would be a walking de*d – Beyoncé
American singer and global music icon Beyoncé has expressed immense pride in her achievements, crediting her success to hard work and passion.
In an exclusive interview with GQ Magazine, which features her on the cover of its October issue, the 32-time Grammy-winning artiste reflected on her career and personal growth.
“I have paid my dues a hundred times over. I have worked harder than anyone I know. And now I work smarter,” Beyoncé shared.
The multi-award-winning singer emphasized the significance of relishing the rewards of one’s efforts, remarking, “Ultimately, the greatest reward is personal joy. Has what I’ve created inspired others to think freely and believe in the impossible? If the answer is yes, then that is the gift.”
Beyoncé, affectionately referred to as “The Queen of Pop” by both fans and critics, expressed her fervent connection to music.
The ‘Brown Skin Girl’ singer revealed that music is an integral part of her life, stating, “It [singing] is one of the deepest joys of my life, a necessity as vital as breath. Without singing, without music, without creating, I would be a walking de*d. Creating music isn’t work for me; it’s what I was born to do.”
The 43 year old Beyoncé remains a musical powerhouse, not only holding the title as the most-awarded person in Grammy history but also being recognized as one of the world’s best-selling music artists.
