The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has granted approval for a new National Minimum Wage of N70,000 for the staff of the FCT Administration.
This approval was announced by the Acting Head of the Civil Service of FCT, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, on Tuesday.
In a statement provided by her Press Secretary, Ewhenji Anthony Odey, Adayilo revealed that Wike has also approved the payment of three months’ arrears for all staff of the Administration, effective from November 2024.
The statement further explained that this decision was in line with the Minister’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of the staff.
According to the Head of Service, this move is expected to motivate the entire staff of the Administration to support the Minister in delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Adayilo thanked the Minister for always granting expeditious approval for payment of staff allowances and claims.
