No fewer than two individuals and forty donkeys have lost their lives in a tragic motor accident in Shiwarin Town, located in the Kiyawa Local Government of Jigawa State.
This devastating incident was reported by DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the spokesman for the Jigawa State Police Command, in a statement to DAILY POST.
According to the statement, “the incident happened when a motor vehicle, Daf, with reg no. NGU 498 XA driven by one Mohd Hassan of Potiskum LGA, Yobe, loaded with 100 donkeys and passengers on board, and on reaching Shuwarin town, the driver lost control of the vehicle and fell down.
“Two people and forty donkeys d!ed.”
The statement further revealed that two passengers, Innani Abubakar and Kalifa Adamu from Potiskum, died immediately.
The driver suffered severe injuries and lost his left hand. He was then transferred to AKTH Kano for medical treatment.
