A tragic accident on the Oyo-Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State has claimed the lives of several students who were traveling to sit for their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.
According to a video clip trending on social media, the fatal crash occurred on the morning of Saturday, April 26, 2025. The accident involved a commercial vehicle that was conveying the students to a JAMB examination center in Ogbomoso.
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the accident was caused by a brake failure, leading to the loss of control and the deadly crash.
A caption attached to the viral video read:
“Fatal accident claimed the life of the students that were going to write JAMB in Ogbomoso on Oyo road, Oyo State.”
As of the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Command, Adewale Osifeso, has not responded to calls or messages seeking official confirmation of the incident.
