In an uplifting and now-viral tweet, Chiamaka Nwakalor-Egemba, the wife of popular Nigerian health influencer Aproko Doctor, has ignited hope among women struggling with infertility caused by Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
Chiamaka, a proud PCOS warrior herself, highlighted the inspiring journey of popular content creator Maraji, who is currently expecting her third child without undergoing IVF treatments. Her post emphasized that a PCOS diagnosis does not mean the end of one’s fertility journey.
“Maraji is on Baby number 3, no IVF so far. She is a PCOS Warrior. My PCOS Warriors, THERE IS STILL HOPE!” she tweeted passionately.
She followed up with words of encouragement for women trying to conceive:
“Don’t let your faith shake. Fight and have control of your mind and body. If you need help, I have a support group. I even show the recipe that helped me. YOU WILL SMILE AGAIN!”
Her heartfelt message struck a chord with thousands. Many women flooded the comments, sharing their personal struggles with PCOS, asking for clarity on symptoms, and expressing interest in joining Chiamaka’s support group.
One user replied, “I’ve had irregular cycles for years and no diagnosis. Thank you for this encouragement.”
Another wrote, “Please, how do I join your group? I need guidance badly.”
Others praised her bravery for using her platform to raise awareness about a condition that affects millions of women worldwide.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that affects how a woman’s ovaries work. Common symptoms include irregular periods, excess hair growth, acne, and weight gain. One of the most difficult challenges for many is infertility, though with proper lifestyle changes and medical intervention, many women go on to conceive naturally.
