The staggering amount Beyonce was paid by Netflix to perform for 13 minutes at halftime of NFL game revealed
Beyoncé reportedly scored a staggering payday for her halftime show during Netflix’s NFL Christmas Day doubleheader, raking in an impressive sum for her 13-minute musical showcase.
Performing at NRG Stadium in her native Houston, Texas, she was joined by special guests Shaboozey, Post Malone, and her 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, right in the midst of the Ravens’ dominating game against the Texans.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Beyoncé’s earnings exceeded $1 million per minute, totalling around $20 million for her appearance on Netflix. However, neither the streaming service nor the ‘Cowboy Carter’ artist has officially confirmed this figure.
The 43-year-old superstar is said to have entered into a three-project agreement with Netflix back in 2019, of which two projects have now been completed. The first was a documentary showcasing her iconic 2019 Coachella performance, netting her $20 million.
With the second project now behind her, she has earned two-thirds of the total $60 million contract. The details of the final instalment remain uncertain, but many fans are hoping for another spectacular performance in Netflix’s upcoming NFL event.
This halftime show marked Beyoncé’s first public performance ever since her husband Jay-Z faced serious allegations of r@pe, stemming from a lawsuit that claimed he and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs assaulted a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000. Jay-Z has firmly denied these accusations.
