Afrobeats artist Babatunde Rahim, better known as Lyta, has issued a warning about ceasing his song releases if his supporters fail to stream his existing tracks.
The ex-YBNL member expressed his distress over facing financial difficulties because of insufficient support from music lovers.
While engaging with fans in a recent Instagram live session, Lyta remarked, “I can produce more great music. However, if my songs aren’t streamed, I won’t release another. I’m in dire need of funds.”
Lyta said, “I can do more good music. But if you don’t stream my music, I won’t drop another one. I’m in need of money.
“Look at how I’m looking [slim]. I want to gain weight. Let me enjoy your money a little. If you stream my music, I will add weight.”
Lyta rose to fame in 2018 when he joined YBNL Nation. However, he departed from the label in May 2019 following a dispute with the owner, Olamide.
In earlier interviews, he openly requested Olamide to reconsider and take him back into YBNL, but the rapper declined his request for re-signing.
