President Tinubu returns to Abuja after attending Arab summit on Gaza war
President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja, Nigeria, following his attendance at the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The summit was centered around addressing the current situation in the Middle East.
Upon landing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 8 pm on Tuesday, the presidential aircraft was greeted by a delegation of top government officials, led by the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
President Tinubu was welcomed by other heads of state and government from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the League of Arab States, who were also in attendance for the one-day summit.
During the summit on Monday, President Tinubu called for an end to Israeli aggression in Gaza, acknowledging the prolonged conflict’s devastating impact and expressing profound concern for the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
