P-Square: Paul Okoye calls out his twin, Peter Okoye over alleged song theft
Popular singer and half of PSquare, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has publicly accused his twin brother and former bandmate, Peter Okoye, also called Mr P, along with their producer, of alleged song theft.
Mr. P has released a song titled ‘Winning’ since the group’s third breakup earlier this year.
However, Rudeboy has shared his side of the story on Instagram, alleging that he composed and performed the song with a particular producer, who then allegedly stole the song and passed it on to his brother. He claims that his brother faithfully recorded the song, word for word, using the same producer from which they originally worked together.
Rudeboy expressed his regret and confusion over why the alleged management was not only re-singing his song word for word but also wondering why they hadn’t released his own version earlier.
On his Instagram page, he wrote, “Song title: Winning
Written and sang by Rudeboy
Produced by same producer.
“Now how come? Now am I supposed to release another version? Mr Producer, your case is for another day.
“Just a simple thing: Bring 6 songs, let me bring 6 songs. I Submitted 6 songs to the so-called management. Why re-singing my own song? word for word. Song that was supposed to be in my album next year, June.”
In another post on his Instagram story, Rudeboy threatened to release the original version of any songs of his that he was being replicated.
“The days of manipulation are over!!
And to the management, make I hear any song wey na only me sing, I go release the original version.
Oloriburuku!
Music is not that hard!,” he wrote.
