Vice President of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) and Chairman of Air Peace Ltd., Dr. Allen Onyema, has been honored with the esteemed Aviation Industry Trailblazer for the Decade award at the recently concluded International Air Transport Conference in Abuja.
The award, bestowed upon Dr. Onyema by Ali Yu Ibrahim, Director of Corporate Services at the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), recognizes his exceptional contributions to the aviation sector.
Dr. Onyema, who has played a pivotal role in transforming Nigeria’s air transport landscape, was lauded for his visionary leadership and commitment to enhancing air travel accessibility, safety, and customer experience across Africa.
Under his guidance, Air Peace has emerged as a leading airline in West Africa, establishing standards of operational excellence.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Onyema expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that it is a testament to his team’s hard work and resilience. “This award is not just for me; it is for every member of the Air Peace family and for the entire Nigerian aviation industry,” he remarked.
