Nollywood actress and content creator, Olukemi-Niyi Aluko, better known as Diva Gold, has shared her perspective on women’s success, stating that only the selfish and gullible men are intimidated by it.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, she elaborated, “Only a man who is selfish and gullible will be intimidated by a woman’s success. You should be happy that your woman is successful. There are so many women that if they are successful, the man becomes the luckiest man on earth.”
Regarding her experiences with sexual advances, Diva Gold shared, “I don’t really get sexual advances from women; it’s more men. However, there was a time when someone made a move on me. They wanted me to be close to her, but I didn’t meet her expectations, so we lost contact. I didn’t want to pursue it further, so I kept my distance. I understood what they were after, but I didn’t want it to become something serious.”
When asked about her ability to convincingly portray older women in films despite her youth, she attributed it to grace and divine intervention, stating, “I believe it’s a combination of grace and God. I don’t think there’s any talent that isn’t from God. If God gives me the talent but I don’t work hard, it might be wasted. Besides having the talent, I also put in the effort. I observe others and watch movies to enhance my skills. I consider myself a versatile actor, capable of taking on any role I choose.”
