Nathaniel Bassey ministers at Trump prayer breakfast
Nigerian gospel sensation Nathaniel Bassey graced the presidential inaugural prayer breakfast for President Donald Trump on Monday.
This event, which was neither governmental nor political, took place in Washington DC, shortly after Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, and was hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner.
Bassey, a popular pastor and trumpeter, was invited to uplift the attendees with his music. He performed his powerful song ‘Take the Stage,’ during which he called upon Jesus to take charge of the White House.
Through his moving performance, Bassey prayed for divine guidance over the White House and the entire nation, asking God to illuminate the country with His glory.
It’s worth noting that Bassey had previously shared that Reverend Merrie Turner reached out to him after receiving divine inspiration during her prayers, urging him to come and “release His glory over the United States.”
