Moses Bliss open up on Ebuka Songs’ sudden exit from Spotlite Nation
Gospel artist and Spotlite Nation founder, Moses Bliss, has spoken out about the surprising exit of his former artist, Ebuka Songs, from the label.
Bliss revealed that Ebuka is said to have breached a three-year agreement by departing after only 11 months. Ebuka explained that his decision was due to a “clash of visions,” indicating that his artistic goals were no longer in sync with the label’s mission.
Moses Bliss expressed that, despite the breach of contract, he fully supports Ebuka in pursuing his own journey and has no hard feelings towards the artist. He shared these thoughts during a press conference at The Experience 2024 music concert, where both he and Ebuka Songs showcased their talents separately.
“Me and Ebuka Songs? There are no issues between us. Of course, he was signed to Spotlite Nation. He just said he wants to do things on his own.
“Our contract didn’t end when it was supposed to end. It was a three-year contract. I think 11 months into it, he said he wants to do his music alone. I prayed about it and I said, ‘You can go’.
“We hold no grudge against him. The goal is for Jesus to be seen. Our goal is to give people the opportunity to minister the gospel.
“We are not fighting. I love him and I am happy to have been part of his journey and wish him the best,” Bliss said.
