Popular gospel singer Moses Bliss has addressed swirling rumors of a fallout between him and his former protégé, Ebuka Songs, following the latter’s exit from his record label.
In an emotional and clarifying interview during the first-ever live edition of the WithChude podcast, Bliss finally broke his silence, assuring fans that there is no bad blood between the two gospel artists. He dismissed the widespread rumors of a feud as entirely false.
Reacting to the controversy, Moses Bliss said:
“We’re humans, and you feel a certain way if people misconstrue your intentions. But I’m very concerned about impressing God. My intentions are very pure, and everything is born out of love.”
He went further to praise Ebuka Songs for his progress and dedication to ministry, saying:
“Ebuka is a great guy. I think the world has not seen the best of him yet. I feel like he still has greater years, and with good mentors, he’s going to do even greater things.”
“He is definitely not where he used to be and not how he met us. He is doing good for the kingdom. And he is impacting a lot of lives. Seeing just that alone, my joy is full. I don’t care what anybody thinks, I’m rejoicing and rooting for him.”
The speculation began two months ago after Ebuka Songs opened up about his decision to leave Moses Bliss’ record label. While Ebuka didn’t make any direct allegations, fans on social media assumed there was tension behind the scenes, especially given how quiet Bliss remained about the situation at the time.
Some fans interpreted the lack of joint projects and social media interactions between the two as confirmation of a falling-out. But with this latest statement, Bliss appears to have shut down those claims for good.
Gospel music lovers have since flooded social media with messages of relief and support. Many applauded Bliss for taking the high road and celebrating his former signee’s growth rather than responding with bitterness or drama.
Others have called on the gospel community to focus more on unity and less on sensationalism, reminding everyone that serving the Kingdom should be the ultimate goal.
