A 40-year-old man, Tauya Mungate, has been apprehended in Mungate Village, Chinhamora, Zimbabwe, on charges of allegedly mu*dering his 13-year-old niece after accusing her of ste@ling a $10 bill.
Reports indicate that Mungate employed a switch, a wooden broom, and a fan belt in the assault, resulting in severe injuries to the young girl. The incident occurred on November 4, and Mungate was detained immediately following. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest on social media platform X, stating, “The suspect assaulted his niece (13) to death with a switch, wooden broom, and fan belt after accusing her of stealing US$10.”
