Malouda calls on Chelsea to sign Osimhen in January
Florent Malouda has encouraged Chelsea to consider a move for Victor Osimhen when the transfer window opens in January.
Despite coming close to signing him in the summer, the deal fell through due to the inability to meet Osimhen’s demands.
Instead, Osimhen went on loan to Galatasaray, the champions of the Turkish Super Lig, from Napoli.
Malouda, however, was adamant that the Blues should make another attempt to sign the powerful striker during the winter transfer window.
“We almost signed Victor Osimhen in the summer, and he is the type of player that would add extra quality to this Chelsea team,” Malouda told Coin Poker.
“If there is an opportunity to bring him in in January, then I think the club has to look at it. From what I’ve read, he will cost less than the numbers that were quoted in the summer – the fee is reportedly in the region of £70m.”
