Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has broken her silence following online claims that she is jealous of her longtime rival Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, after the young star’s lavish wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
Over the weekend, social media was abuzz with stunning photos and videos from Priscilla’s high-profile wedding, a glamorous event that attracted top celebrities and trended for days. While many praised the grand ceremony, some netizens flooded Lizzy Anjorin’s page, suggesting she harbored envy toward Iyabo Ojo and her daughter’s big day.
But Lizzy is not here for the drama.
In a candid video posted to her Instagram page, Lizzy addressed the accusations head-on. She made it clear that she holds no ill feelings toward the new bride or her beautiful celebration.
“Let’s forget about the mother. Let’s face the daughter,” she began. “Who will ever hate such a wedding? Who dares to hate such a wedding?”
The actress went on to praise Priscilla for being focused and respectful despite being in the spotlight. “The happiness of every mother is to have a daughter that will work along with you regardless of who you are. Whether you’re a thief, a blackmailer, a destroyer, or rich every mother prays for that kind of child.”
Lizzy also emphasized that just because she has been at odds with Iyabo in the past doesn’t mean she’ll allow hate to cloud her judgment. “Because you’re trying to destroy me doesn’t mean I’ll destroy you in return. God is using your actions to promote me,” she stated.
Defending the couple’s union, she added, “A wedding where nothing negative was said about the bride, groom, or their families? What is there to hate?”
She concluded by applauding Priscilla’s grace and independence, saying, “She has maintained her lane. She’s a beautiful girl who minds her business.”
The emotional video has since sparked a wave of reactions online, with fans applauding Lizzy for her maturity and transparency.
