Lil Durk arrested in South Florida on mu*der-for-hire charges
Popular Chicago rapper Lil Durk has been arrested in South Florida, facing charges of mu*der-for-hire.
The rapper, known by his stage name Durk Banks, has been detained without bail in Broward County Jail.
Lil Durk’s arrest is rooted in a comprehensive federal investigation that ties him to charges of conspiracy in a murder-for-hire plot.
Police records indicate that Durk is presently awaiting a transfer to U.S. Marshals custody, indicating that federal law enforcement is assuming control of the case.
This arrest unfolded as part of an inquiry into the murder of Saviay’a Robinson, also known as Lul Pab, who was the cousin of Quando Rondo, another prominent name in the rap industry. Robinson was killed in Los Angeles in 2022, and law enforcement authorities believe there is a network of connections within the OTF collective, implicating them in this fatal act.
An indictment has been lodged in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, alleging that five Chicago natives, Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston, who are allegedly affiliated with OTF, have been arrested alongside Durk.
The news source reports that the five individuals have been charged with various crimes, including conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, murder-for-hire involving a death, and the use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in de*th.
The prosecution claims that these individuals received financial and other resources from Lil Durk’s collective. Evidence presented includes flight and rental car bookings, allegedly made using a credit card associated with OTF.
Furthermore, the prosecution accuses OFT of offering “money-making music deals” to anyone able to eliminate Quando Rondo.
