“Leave him alone mad people. He spoke the truth” – Show promoter Paulo Okoye slams those dragging Davido over controversial statement about Nigeria economy
Nigerian show promoter Paulo Okoye has stood by music star Davido against critics who have condemned him for his remarks regarding the state of Africa’s economy.
In a recent interview, Davido issued a stern warning to black Americans, cautioning against moving to Africa. He highlighted that the region is not as welcoming as it might seem, given the prevailing economic challenges. Davido clarified that his intention was not to criticize Africa but rather to shed light on the beautiful aspects, leaving behind the less appealing realities such as urban slums.
His comments, however, were met with widespread criticism.
In defense of Davido, Paulo Okoye has called for people to give the singer the benefit of the doubt, acknowledging that he was speaking the truth. He highlighted the dire economic situation in Nigeria, with global companies pulling out and local businesses struggling. Paulo emphasized the need for Nigerians to face the harsh realities and work towards a brighter future.
He stated that it is clear that we’re facing challenges as he admonished Nigerians to learn to acknowledge reality and work towards a better future.
“Please make una leave Davido alone, mad people.
Davido spoke the truth Nigeria’s current economic state is so bad. With global companies leaving and local businesses facing significant losses, it’s clear we are facing challenges. Let’s acknowledge the reality and work towards a better future. God bless Nigeria”.
