Just in: Tinubu swears in Justice Kekere-Ekun as CJN

The new Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun has been sworn-in by President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu conducted Kekere-Ekun’s oath-taking ceremony at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa in Abuja, on Monday.

Last week, the Senate officially confirmed Kekere-Ekun’s appointment as the next Chief Justice of Nigeria.

This followed her screening on the floor of the upper legislative chamber.

Tinubu appointed her as the new acting Chief Justice of Nigeria following the retirement of her predecessor, Justice Olukoyede Ariwoola.
