Just in: Six-year single-term proposal for President, Governors fails in Reps
A bill aimed at shortening the presidential and gubernatorial tenures to a single term of six years was turned down in the House of Representatives.
This bill, introduced by Ikenga Ugochinyere among others, was discussed on Thursday before the lawmakers voted against it.
The now rejected constitution alteration bill sought to amend the 1999 to reduce the tenure of the lawmakers.
