Jeff Bezos slams media for false Lauren Sanchez wedding story
Jeff Bezos has firmly rejected recent claims regarding an upcoming wedding to his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, labeling them as entirely untrue and criticizing the media for what he described as unfounded rumors.
In response to speculation that the couple would be marrying next weekend in Aspen, Bezos stated, “This entire narrative is completely false – none of this is taking place. The saying, ‘don’t believe everything you read,’ has never been more relevant than it is today.”
He further emphasized his point by saying, “Lies can travel all the way around the world before the truth even has a chance to get dressed.”
The rumors suggested that Bezos and Sanchez were set to exchange vows at Kevin Costner’s ranch in Aspen, followed by a reception at the high-end sushi restaurant Matsuhisa, which was reportedly booked for up to 180 guests. While Bezos certainly has the means for such an extravagant affair, he firmly denied that any wedding plans were in the works.
Though the couple has not disclosed when they intend to officially tie the knot, wedding thoughts appear to be on their minds. Sanchez has previously hinted at contemplating her wedding dress, keeping the speculation about their future alive.
