It’s fake – Bobrisky denies N15m EFCC bribing allegations
Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has refuted allegations of bribery against officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
On Tuesday night, influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, shared a voice recording purportedly made by Bobrisky, accusing him of offering N15 million in bribes to EFCC officials.
In the recording, Bobrisky alleges that the N15 million bribe was intended to persuade EFCC officials to dismiss charges of money laundering against him.
The crossdresser also claimed that he never spent a day in prison after he was convicted and sentenced to a six-month imprisonment.
In April 2024, Bobrisky was sentenced to a six-month jail term for the crime of naira mutilation.
However, in a recorded conversation, the crossdresser mentioned that his godfather had arranged for him to serve his sentence at a lodge rather than in a traditional jail.
In response, the crossdresser dismissed the viral recording as fabricated, asserting that he completed his sentence in a prison setting.
In an Instagram post, Bobrisky: “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira and that I was never in prison.
“I didn’t pay any EFCC money; it is a very big lie. I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information.”
