I’m available – Sowore confirms availability as police moves for his arrest
The Nigeria Police have reportedly launched a manhunt for well-known activist and politician Omoyele Sowore after a video he posted on his social media went viral.
Sowore, who previously ran for president with the African Action Congress (AAC), shared footage of a confrontation he had with police officers on the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Access Road in Lagos.
In the widely circulated video, the activist can be seen urging the officers to stop creating traffic disruptions on the Airport Road.
In a recent update on his official X account late Wednesday night, Sowore claimed that the police are actively “looking” for him.
Despite the situation, he indicated that he is prepared for any potential arrest, mentioning that he is currently in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The post reads, “I have been informed that the Nigeria Police Force is searching for me. I am currently in Abuja and available at their convenience.
“It appears that the new year is about to start on a positive note! #RevolutionNow”.
