Igala monarch demands justice for behe@ded corps member in Abuja
The Onu of Igala in the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Alabi James Okai, has urged officials to guarantee that justice prevails in the case of Corps Member Salome Adaidu, who was sadly killed.
During a media briefing in Abuja, Chief Okai conveyed his deep sorrow over Adaidu’s death, highlighting her role as a source of inspiration for both her family and the Igala community.
“The heartbreaking loss of such a vibrant and promising individual is truly distressing,” Chief Okai remarked, calling on authorities to ensure that the individual responsible is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
In support of Chief Okai, the Onu Igala Orozo and Head of Media and Communication, Comrade Chief Ahmadu Zechariah Emachi, urged the police and judicial system to accelerate their investigations and bring the offender to justice.
He stressed that swift justice would serve as a deterrent to similar incidents in the future.
In a show of solidarity, Chief Okai also extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and pledged the Igala community’s support in seeking justice for Adaidu.
“This is not just a loss to her family but a tragedy for the entire Igala people. We will ensure that her death is not in vain,” he added.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for reforms to ensure the safety of Corps members nationwide.
