ICYMI: Bobrisky Saga: Falz gives VeryDarkMan 24 hours to apologize and recant his statement
Nigerian singer Folarin Falana aka Falz has given VeryDarkMan 24 hours to apologize and withdraw his remark on him.
Recall the incident on September 24th, when social activist VeryDarkMan released a purportedly audio conversation between Bobrisky and a male friend. In the conversation, Bobrisky claimed to have spoken with Falz in prison and described how Falz and his father, Femi Falana, SAN, were attempting to secure a presidential pardon for him.
In response, VDM expressed his disgust towards Falz and his father for associating with Bobrisky, even questioning Falz’s loyalty with a terse “déy do.”
In a statement released this evening from Falz’s father’s chambers, Falz confirmed that he received a message from Bobrisky on May 4 asking for N3 million to ensure he had a VIP section in the prison. Falz also clarified that he declined to provide Bobrisky with any money. He pointed out that VDM’s comments had painted him as a homosexual who was undermining justice and seen as someone who was seeking financial advantages through betraying justice.
Falz expressed concerns that VVDM portrayed him as an insincere human rights activist, without bothering to hear his side of the story.
The rapper, represented by legal counsel, has called for an immediate retraction of the offensive and defamatory article, along with an explicit apology to be prominently displayed across all the platforms where it has been shared, without any valid justification.
His legal team has stated that should VVDM not comply within 24 (twenty-four) hours, they will pursue legal action against the publication, seeking appropriate remedies, including financial compensation.
