Award-winning rapper and songwriter, Nicki Minaj, has expressed her admiration for Nigerian music sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, calling him an exceptional writer and melody maker.
Minaj, celebrated for her versatility and worldwide success, shared her thoughts on X on Friday while talking about her recent collaboration with the Afrobeats superstar.
In response to a fan’s question about her choice to work with Davido on her latest project, “If It’s Okay,” she emphasized the deep respect they share, which she described as making their collaboration both effortless and enjoyable.
She explained that the collaboration was motivated by her wish to incorporate an Afrobebeat tempo and vibe into her music.
According to Minaj, she specifically reached out to Davido to achieve this unique sound, which continues to gain international acclaim.
