Fire guts fuel station in Enugu, thankfully no life lost
A fire broke out at a Filling Station on Agbani Road, Enugu, during the early morning hours of today, Friday, September 20, 2024.
The incident was swiftly extinguished by the combined efforts of personnel from both federal and state fire services, who arrived on the scene without delay.
Thankfully, no lives were lost in the incident. However, three vehicles in line to purchase fuel were engulfed in flames. The situation has since been brought back to normalcy by the police.
A preliminary investigation by the police indicates that the fire might have been sparked by a fuel leak from one of the vehicles refueling at the station.
State Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, who mobilized the police force at the scene, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State CID to carry out a thorough investigation into the matter.
