EPL: Amorim explores swapping Zirkzee-Osimhen for Manchester United
Manchester United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim, is considering a trade that would see Joshua Zirkzee move to Napoli in exchange for Victor Osimhen.
Zirkzee, who has only been with the Premier League side since January, could be on the move in the transfer window, just six months after joining from Bologna.
The Dutch forward has yet to make an impact at Old Trafford, scoring just one goal in 17 appearances.
United, under Amorim, are planning to bolster their attack in the upcoming window and have set their eyes on Osimhen.
According to Il Mattino (via CN24), the Red Devils are looking to acquire Osimhen for a significantly lower price than his current release clause, which is set at €75 million (£63 million/$79 million). They plan to persuade Napoli to allow Osimhen to join Manchester by offering Zirkzee in return in a deal that includes cash and a player. Their initial offer is expected to be worth €30 million (£25 million/$31 million) in cash.
