Bandits abduct six farmers in Kaduna
Bandits have abducted six farmers—four men and two women—from the Gidan Busa community in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A community leader from the area, who confirmed the kidnapping incident to the Daily Trust on Wednesday, September 25, mentioned that it occurred on Monday around 5 pm.
He explained that the farmers were working on their farms when the bandits, armed with weapons, attacked them.
He added that he had alerted some vigilantes from the neighboring Jobgwom village, who had gathered in their numbers and moved into the forest.
Furthermore, the community leader revealed that some bandits also raided a Fulani settlement on the same day at Gadan-Malam Maman, stealing a herd of cows.
He mentioned that the bandits, armed with weapons, fired at two villagers, injuring them, as they fled with the stolen cows while they said that the troops had been notified about the incident.
