Attorney Tony buzbee repping Diddy victims sued for assault
The lawyer representing over 120 alleged victims of Diddy has now found himself at the center of a lawsuit for assault, according to TMZ.
Jane Doe, who is suing under a pseudonym, alleges that she was a former client of Tony Buzbee. She has filed a lawsuit, which TMZ has obtained, claiming that Buzbee assaulted her while representing her in a divorce case.
The details of the alleged assault are not specified in the documents, but a source close to Doe has shared with TMZ that she claims Buzbee became “incensed” upon seeing her in a public place, allegedly pushing a champagne flute into her face, which resulted in a chipped tooth. She has provided medical and dental records to substantiate her injuries.
Doe also accuses Buzbee of malpractice, alleging that he mishandled her divorce case, leading to significant financial losses for her.
We’re told the alleged assault occurred several years ago.
The woman’s lawyer, Jeremy Bohrer, tells TMZ, “Tony Buzbee is a hypocrite. There is nothing worse than when a black hat masquerades as a white hat.”
Buzbee tells TMZ, “That’s crazy fiction. Like really crazy. Like ridiculously crazy. I would ask if the lawyer bringing this silly case is friends with a lawyer from the firm that brought the other [extortion] case. All this will be exposed soon.”
Buzbee adds … “We won’t be bullied or silenced by frivolous cases being filed against me or against my clients. All of this is false and I won’t tolerate defamation.”
