AFCON 2025Q: Super Eagles want maximum points against Rwanda – Troost-Ekong
Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, has made it clear that the upcoming match against Rwanda will not be taken lightly, even though they have already secured their spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The team, with their three-time African Championship titles, will be hosting Rwanda in their final qualifying match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Monday (today).
The Super Eagles have maintained an unbeaten record in the qualifying series, winning three matches and drawing two.
Troost-Ekong has stated their intention to satisfy the fans by securing another victory in the qualifiers.
“We’re not taking this game lightly, we want to be the best team in Africa,” he told reporters in Uyo.
“We want to win the game to make the fans happy.
“It’s an opportunity to impress at home.”
