A staff member of Access Bank, Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, has been dismissed after he was caught secretly recording his colleagues in the restroom during the early hours of the morning. The former quality assurance specialist planted a hidden camera in the restrooms, capturing employees during their use of the facilities around 1:30 a.m.
Ejezie’s actions were discovered when a female employee noticed a phone recording her from a cubicle while she was in the bathroom. When the restroom door was forced open, Ejezie was found but reportedly claimed he didn’t know how he ended up in the restroom and couldn’t explain the hidden recording.
Following his arrest, authorities raided Ejezie’s home, where they found over 400 videos of his colleagues, some of which showed them nude or bathing. It was revealed that Ejezie had been selling the footage online, including on platforms such as OnlyFans and Telegram, primarily to foreign buyers, including white individuals and Indians.
Former colleagues have described Ejezie as “cool” and an “exceptional agent,” expressing shock at his actions. Many workers are concerned that Access Bank might prioritize its brand over helping the victims, fearing that the videos he sold might circulate online. “What happens if the videos he already sold circulate online?” one worker asked.
The bank has yet to respond to the scandal, leaving employees feeling unsupported. Some workers are particularly traumatized, as many do not even know they were recorded. “It could haunt them in the future, even politically,” one source said.
As of now, Access Bank has yet to publicly address the incident, and concerns continue to grow over employee privacy and the impact of the videos.
