Wizkid splashes N2.4 billion on Twin Duplexes in Ikoyi Lagos
Afrobeats superstar Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid, is making headlines after acquiring two extravagant mansions in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Each of these stunning properties is said to have set him back an impressive N1.2 billion, bringing the total investment to a staggering N2.4 billion.
The luxurious homes, boasting exquisite designs and lavish interiors, have captivated fans and social media users alike. Photos of the mansions circulating online have sparked widespread admiration, with many celebrating Wizkid’s incredible success.
However, the news sparked mixed reactions. A fan of rival artist Davido, known as @DavidoPolice on X (formerly Twitter), dismissed the acquisition with a snarky comment: “The God who did it for Wizkid should avoid me.”
This buzz caught the attention of Ola of Lagos, a prominent figure in the real estate scene, who stepped in to defend the significant worth of the properties. Ola criticized the excessive expectations fans often place on celebrities, urging for a more nuanced understanding of their achievements.
“Some people just come online to talk anyhow without thinking that these celebrities are humans too.” Ola of Lagos wrote.
