Popular content creator KieKie expressed that while many Nigerians are working harder than ever, they’re hitting a wall due to the rampant effects of high inflation.
She shared her thoughts in an Instagram story on Monday.
KieKie pointed out that despite putting in the effort, the majority of Nigerians are stuck in poverty due to the exorbitant prices of essential goods.
“We’ve all doubled our hustle, but e no too dey show because things are ridiculously and unbelievably expensive. May God help us,” she said.
Her statement gained attention in the midst of controversy surrounding Afrobeats star Davido, who made a controversial comment on the condition of the Nigerian economy.
Davido said, “It is not cool back home. The economy is in shambles.”
