Bishop T.D. Jakes ‘stable’ after health scare during sermon – Potter’s House
The leader of the Potter’s House megachurch in Dallas, Texas, Bishop T.D. Jake is reported to be stable and receiving medical care, following a health scare during Sunday’s service, according to an official statement from the church.
The church described the incident as a “slight health incident” and assured that Bishop Jakes received immediate medical attention.
“During today’s service, Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message.
“Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals. The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community. Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers”, the Potter’s House said in a short message on its Facebook page.
“We extend our gratitude for the community’s continued support and prayers. Thank you for your understanding and prayers,” the Potter’s House added.
While the church acknowledged the community’s support, it did not provide further details on the cause of the incident or whether Bishop Jakes was hospitalized.
Bishop Jakes, 67, established the Potter’s House in 1996, and the nondenominational church has since grown to over 30,000 members.
