Nicki Minaj Features Davido in new song to mark pinkprint anniversary
Award-winning American rapper/songwriter, Nicki Minaj is marking the tenth anniversary of her iconic album, The Pinkprint.
To mark this milestone, she has released a special edition of the album, which features four brand-new tracks exclusively for her dedicated fans.
This anniversary edition not only pays tribute to the legacy of her 2014 masterpiece but also offers a fresh look into the creative process behind one of hip-hop’s most influential projects.
The newly released tracks are a mix of surprises, ranging from collaborations with major artists to solo ventures that highlight Minaj’s versatility.
One of the standout songs, “Turn Ya Cap Back”, features Swae Lee, with the Rae Sremmurd star providing the song’s smooth vocals while Nicki alternates between singing and rapping, creating a dynamic, upbeat vibe.
Another track, “It’s Okay”, explores dancehall influences, with contributions from David Guetta and Nigerian artist Davido. The song’s infectious beat and energetic rhythm capture the dancehall craze that dominated hip-hop in the mid-2010s, making it a nostalgic yet current offering for fans.
But perhaps the most exciting addition is “Arctic Tundra,” a track that had previously leaked in 2019 but had never seen an official release—until now.
Featuring the late Juice WRLD, the song is a poignant collaboration, with the two artists displaying a natural vocal chemistry. It has quickly become a fan favorite, praised for its emotional depth and melodic harmony.
“The Pinkprint” was a defining album for Nicki Minaj, showcasing her range as both a rapper and a singer while cementing her place among the rap elite. The album produced massive hits like “Anaconda,” “Only,” and “Bed of Lies,” which propelled Minaj into global stardom.
