Popular Nigerian actor Bolanle Ninalowo has opened up about his journey to success in Nollywood, sharing how he navigated early professional setbacks to emerge as a star.
In an exclusive episode of the ‘Off The Top’ podcast, Ninalowo revealed that his early failures were actually stepping stones to his success in the entertainment industry.
When delving into what drives his perseverance, the 44-year-old shared that experiencing setbacks can lead to surprising opportunities for personal growth and self-discovery.
Looking back at his career in Nollywood, Ninalowo credited his early mishaps as pivotal moments that shaped his ultimate success.
“When you fall flat on your face and you are backed against the wall, that is when you get the biggest opportunities to discover yourself. I tell people that when I came to Nollywood, the secrets of my success are buried in my failures,” he said.
Ninalowo’s journey into Nollywood was far from smooth sailing. Starting as a producer, he faced numerous challenges and eventually found his way back to acting in the mid-2000s.
His breakthrough role came in the 2015 film ‘Desperate Baby Mamas,’ which catapulted him to stardom. Since then, the Ikorodu-born actor has taken on a wide range of roles, demonstrating his versatility in both Yoruba and English films.
