Miami Beach formally revokes Diddy’s Key to the City
Miami Beach has formally revoked singer Diddy’s Key to the City amid his ongoing legal battle.
The city severed its ties with the embattled American rapper following a series of charges and lawsuits against him.
In a unanimous decision, Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner stripped Diddy of the honor during a face-to-face hearing last week.
This decision comes nine years after he was first awarded the Key to the City.
Diddy was honored with the ceremonial key in 2015 for his contributions to the music industry and his pivotal role in organizing the Revolt Music Conference in Miami Beach.
The 54-year-old is currently facing federal charges of s*x trafficking and racketeering.
