Polo G arrested for felony gun possession
Chicago-born rapper Polo G, has been incarcerated since Saturday following his arrest for felony possession of a concealed weapon in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles.
According to reports, the arrest occurred during a traffic stop for speeding, at which point police discovered a loaded firearm in his vehicle.
Law enforcement sources have confirmed to TMZ Hip Hop that upon searching his car, LAPD officers found the concealed weapon, which led to Polo G’s immediate arrest.
This development comes at a pivotal moment for Polo G, who has recently released his highly anticipated fourth album, “Hood Poet,” in August. His year has been overshadowed by legal troubles, including charges of weapons possession in New York City in April and a similar incident in Burbank last year.
Polo G’s current status in custody has not been disclosed, sparking concerns regarding the future of his “Hood Poet Tour,” which is scheduled to kick off in just three days.
