Mexican-Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o has confirmed her split from Canadian-American actor Joshua Jackson during a stunning photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar UK.
The Hollywood couple announced their relationship in October 2023, just days after it was revealed that Joshua had separated from his wife, Jodie Turner-Smith.
In September, the couple ignited rumors of a split when Joshua, 46, was spotted at the premiere of “Grotesquerie” alongside German model Nastassja Roberts.
When asked about her personal life, Lupita shared for the first time that she’s currently not interested in anyone else, save for her cat Yoyo.
She said: ‘My love for my cat is singular. If I’m ever so lucky to be in a romantic relationship again, it’ll be because of him.
‘I was ready to shut that door and lock it and bolt it. He has ensured that my heart remains open.’
Jodie filed for divorce in October 2023, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ after four years of marriage.
The two stars agreed to join custody of their daughter named Juno Rose Diana Jackson, four.
At the time Joshua had been left ‘heartbroken’ over the split. But, just weeks later, Joshua confirmed his romance with Lupita as they were photographed holding hands publicly.
At the outset of their relationship, a source explained to the Daily Mail that the couple was taking their relationship slow, given their recent breakups.
They revealed: ‘Joshua has a type and Lupita definitely fits that to a tee. But they are just friends, it is still a little early for Joshua to start dating again.
‘Could he be an item with Lupita down the road? Without question… They are both still going through it with their recent breakups and still are looking to heal.’
