‘They say I worship the devil’ – Rema
Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has shared the wildest rumor he’s ever encountered online.
The popular artist revealed that being labeled a “devil worshiper” was the most outlandish rumor ever spread about him.
Rema appeared on a recent episode of the ‘Kids Take Over’ podcast.
The host asked: “What’s the most crazy, untrue thing that you’ve seen online about you?”
Rema chuckled and responded: “They say worship the devil [laughs]. It’s crazy. I didn’t respond to it because it is not important. It’s a waste of time.”
The singer clarified that the symbols he incorporated into his art were inspired by Edo culture, not by any satanic beliefs.
Rema also shared his experience collaborating with Canadian superstar Drake in 2020 on the song “Mention Me,” which was leaked.
“I’m happy to work with a legend like Drake. I feel like we are going to make a very huge song if we take our time to build something very strong,” he said.
