Bernice Asare says she regrets marrying a pastor and the ‘mistake’ will never repeat itself
Kumawood actress and movie producer, Bernice Asare, has openly shared the challenges she faced in her marriage to a pastor, expressing remorse over the decision to marry him.
In an interview with Zionfelix, she clarified that what initially appeared as an ideal relationship eventually turned out to be one of her greatest regrets.
Bernice revealed that her husband’s unwavering dedication to his religious duties had created significant strain in their marriage, leaving her feeling emotionally neglected. She recounted instances where he would prioritize his ministry over spending time with her, including praying for prostitutes, which left her feeling isolated and without emotional support.
Reflecting on the early days of their relationship, Bernice described how her husband had been a source of comfort during a period of emotional vulnerability following a previous heartbreak. His calm demeanor and use of Bible verses had initially attracted her to him, and their connection eventually led to their marriage. However, after they were married, Bernice found herself struggling with feelings of loneliness, as her husband was often preoccupied with his pastoral duties.
“Marrying a pastor was the biggest mistake of my life,” she admitted, shedding light on the emotional toll of being married to someone whose primary focus was on his ministry.
