American rapper, Curtis James Jackson III, aka 50 Cent, has revealed his favourite song at the moment.
The hip-hop icon said in a video interview that went viral on Tuesday that his current favorite song is ‘Me & U’ by Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems.
“My current song on repeat is ‘Me & U’ by Tems,” he said.
“Me & U’ is the lead single of Tems’ critically acclaimed debut studio album ‘Born In The Wild.’
The song sparked controversy after it won the Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award with her song, ‘Me & U’ at the 2024 BET Awards.
Critics contended that a secular artist’s song should not have won the category over gospel legends such as Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, CeCe Winans, and Maverick City Music.
